Continental AERO 111 tire: the new generation of aerodynamic tires for road bikes, developed in close collaboration with experts from DT Swiss and Swiss Side. The AERO 111 is based on the proven racing technologies of the GP5000 TR series and sets new standards in aerodynamics. The Black Chili compound, optimized for racing, ensures exceptional grip and lower rolling resistance, while the proven Vectran Breaker provides protection against punctures. The patented and aerodynamically optimized tread pattern features 48 precisely molded air chambers. These so-called “vortex generators” create controlled turbulence, meaning that the airflow stays longer on the rim, reducing drag and optimizing handling in crosswinds.

Aero, grippy, and fast: the ideal tire for road cyclists who know that every watt counts.
The sail effect optimizes handling with crosswinds.
The “vortex generators” reduce the aerodynamic drag of the entire wheel-tire system.
