Castelli Alpha sweatshirt: lightweight insulation for off-bike use

The Castelli Alpha sweatshirtis a technical off-bike garment designed to accompany the cyclist on trips, during pre-race preparation, and in everyday use. Its lightweight construction combines a clean aesthetic with a relaxed fit, featuring a regular cut and dropped shoulders. The Polartec Alpha 90 g fabric provides insulation with minimal bulk, making the garment suitable as a mid-layer or functional sweatshirt in cool conditions.

Breathability and moisture management

The open structure of the material promotes air circulation and the dispersal of excess heat, maintaining a functional balance between protection and ventilation. This configuration makes the technical cycling sweatshirt suitable for phases of varying intensity and for moments after activity. The high Polartec Alpha breathability supports moisture management and promotes quick drying times.

Low weight and regular fit

With a stated weight of 170 grams, the Castelli Alpha prioritizes lightness and easy layering. The regular cut does not replicate the close fit of race apparel, but allows greater freedom across the torso and shoulders. The favorable warmth-to-weight ratio makes it suitable to wear over a technical Jersey or under a shell, depending on temperature, wind exposure, and activity level. The flat seams also reduce internal bulk.
