The Cervelo S5 has become an undisputed benchmark in competitive sports when it comes to speed and aerodynamic efficiency. This is evidenced by the numerous results achieved on the most prestigious international stages. From Wout van Aert, who won the Jersey Green Jersey with the highest number of victories in modern history, to Simon Yates, who recently claimed the Jersey pink jersey, the iconic V-shaped handlebar and the distinctive fork design of the S5 have become a hallmark among professionals worldwide. The new S5 builds on this legacy of speed and design to evolve into something even faster, more refined, and distinctive, reducing weight to become an even more powerful ally in the hands of the worlds fastest athletes. The new S5 is over 6 watts faster than the current version, 124 grams lighter while ensuring the same handling, responsiveness, and stability that cyclists around the world already appreciate in its predecessor. The most significant changes concern the front end, which delivers the most substantial aerodynamic performance gains. The fork blades and head tube have become more pronounced, while the handlebar and stem are now a single redesigned piece, continuing the V-stem concept but with an even more aerodynamic and faster solution.
Cervlo and Reserve have jointly developed the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels, designed and wind tunnel tested together with the bicycle frame and optimized specifically for use with the new S5. The monobloc handlebar and stem of the new S5 contribute significantly to improving the bikes aerodynamic performance, but these improvements are limited if the rider is not fully comfortable with the bike. We have created nine different size combinations of the new integrated handlebar, and when purchasing an S5, your authorized Cervlo dealer will assist you in selecting the handlebar/stem combination best suited to you, at no additional cost.
